So, yesterday I was at the gym with my two sisters.  A lady that I was lifting weights next to asked if my youngest sister and I were twins.  I smiled and said no but that we are sisters.  I did not inform her that I am 10 years older.  It made me smile .

So, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  I had a great New Year's weekend.  We went up to New Life Bible Camp in the middle of nowhere, PA for our retreat.  My Uncle, Aunt and cousins came along too, because my uncle was our speaker!  It was so fun to hang out with them!  My uncle's lessons were really good.  I feel so encouraged and I have dedicated this year to work on my Bible reading, prayer, evangelism/discipleship and trusting in God.  These are things that as a Christian, I should be addicted to.  And I want to be addicted to them.  But, as all of you know, so many things get in the way.  I am using this year, and yeah, the rest of my life, to fight these things!

Anyway, I also went skiing on New Year's Eve.  It was so much fun and I am SO THANKFUL to my friend Paul who, instead of going on the Diamonds like he is used to, hung out with us and taught us how to ski.  I went from going straight down the mountain at hazardous speeds and not being able to stop to learning how to be a bit more controlled.  :)  It was so much fun!  Except for the time I totally lost control and faceplanted but instead of hitting my head, I jerked my head back and gave myself some kind of crazy whiplash (which I still am feeling).  I felt pretty nauseous but went out again a little later anyway.  It was such an exhausting day and I was soo sore for days afterwards, but it was great fun! :)

We also brought in the New Year with a coupld hundred dollars worth of fireworks and blowing up a scarecrow (its a Nicaraguan tradition to fill a scarecrow with "bombas" and dress it with old clothes and set it on fire to say goodbye to the old and bring on the new year!).  It was the most exciting one we have had yet, we constantly had to be running away from fireworks that were stuck in the ground and exploding or just shooting out towards us instead of the sky!  Haha, hilarious!

Hi all!  This will be my last post of 2007, how crazy is that?  I feel like the year just started.  What a whirlwind of a year!  Anyway, I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas!  It was just my family and my aunt this year, so small but still great!  After all the giving and getting, I was able to give my favorite gift yet:  I gave money to specific things done by Samaratin's Purse in the name of each of my family members.  I tried to have their gift go to something that would mean something to them.  It was awesome, I think they were really blessed.  I know I was.  And I definitely know the people that were helped are!  All in the name of Jesus....for His glory.

So, I never said anything about my second, 10 day trip to Disney World!  Lets just say, my feet are healing up nicely...haha!  It was a lot of fun, we were able to do everything we wanted to in each of the four parks, and our favorites were done multiple times! We have so many inside jokes, which are always fun!  Let's just say, Twigas forever!  My friends made us a shirt for our whole group, which everyone in the parks loved, and for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, we had scarves made (you can see them in the pic below, with the gorgeous lit up castle in the background!).  I loved our time there, and it was fun to be there close to Christmas because everything was decorated so amazingly!  For more pics, you will have to go to my facebook.  There are some really fun pics!  I just want to say, Disney does things SO WELL.  No wonder they start making profit one hour after opening (tis true, we went on the behind the scenes tour!).

Well, I hope everyone has a AWESOME AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!   I am going on a winter retreat with the young adults of my church.  Should be fun.  We set off loads of fireworks to bring in the New Year and blow up a scarecrow (its a Nicaraguan tradition to take away the old and bring on the new - plus its fun to watch).

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday, December 06, 2007

So, I have had an exciting month!  For thanksgiving, I went with my family down to Florida to visit my grandparents for the week.  We went to Magic Kingdom for a day, which was SO MUCH FUN!!!  My sisters had never been, so it was fun to be a part of their first experience!  It was cool too, because we went on Mickey Mouse Day, which is an actual registered holiday!  So, we ran around and got everything in that we wanted to do.  I love that place, seriously, its like magic!  That is why I am going again, haha!  I leave for tomorrow to go with some friends for 10 days!  I am so excited!!!!

Anyway, the rest of Thanksgiving break we spent with my grandparents and some cousins.  We went to Cyprus Gardens one day, which is such a cool place!  They have gardens, rides, and an awesome ski show!  And to make the day even more incredible, we got to be extras in a movie!  That is on my list of things to do before I die, so was so happy!  Its called H2O Extreme and it stars Rider Strong, Chris Carmack, and Nikki Griffin (they are all tv stars).  It probably wont be very big, but who cares?  Anyway, my sister and I got to right next to the main actors and talk to them.  And we should even be in the blooper section because the main guy faceplanted right next to us!  Haha, it was hilarious.  Anyway, they were really nice and it was a cool experience getting to do little clips over and over and over again.  I could never do that as my job, but it was fun to be a part of it for a few minutes!

Well, I better get back to packing, 4am comes way to early!!!  Yay Disney World!!!
